Visiting the Hartman Aviation A320 Simulator

When I went to Zhuhai Airshow this year, I took the opportunity to visit friends in Shenzhen. Since I still had some time before leaving, I went to Hartman Aviation Culture Education (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. to play around in their A320 simulator. That was a month ago, and I can’t remember many details, but here is a brief record.

I booked via WeChat, 1299 yuan for an hour. Compared to the 850 yuan for the JFlight A320 simulator I visited before, it is indeed more expensive. But opportunities are rare, so I didn't care about the price difference.

Came in to check the equipment first,

Found the "CNFSimulator" logo,

Later I found news online about CNFSimulator.A320 flight simulator entering Hartman Aviation Culture Education Base, I’ll copy the official website introduction:

CNFSimultaor.A320 flight simulator is a high-grade flight training device independently developed by CNF according to CCAR-60/FAR-PART-60 standards. It uses CNF's advanced flight control software, graphics and image systems, electromechanical integration systems, etc., combined with professional aviation training knowledge to realize high-precision flight simulation of corresponding aircraft models. The simulator not only has a fully enclosed 1:1 real simulation cockpit and high-end interior and exterior decoration but also has information and 3D HD real-scene databases for more than 100 cities, airports, runways, and buildings worldwide. It is generally used in pilot model training flight course teaching, flight school training, and high-end flight experience.

The instructor for this simulation was a pilot from China Southern Airlines. He used to fly the Boeing 737 and later switched to the Boeing 787. I said let’s do a simple cold start, but the APU wouldn’t start at first. So we rebooted the system and got to see some boot screens.

You can see the system software is Lockheed Martin's Prepar3D, And Deep Freeze to store configurations for each computer. I remember their system used a total of 4 computers. SkalarkiIO Profiler 5 settings screen, I'm not too familiar with Prepar3D myself, You can see here it uses FSUIPC, Jeehell FMGS A320 software, As well as the overhead panel, main instrument panel, glare shield, MCDU, throttle, and other equipment. A320 JeeHell Ware server software and FMGS AP/FBW module versions seem to be Beta44.

After the system reboot, everything was normal, then a simple cold start, Next, we did a simple manual flight at Beijing ZBAA and Hong Kong (local pattern). I haven’t played A320 for a long time. The goal this time was just to warm up and get a feel for the controls. So I didn’t pay much attention to various data, COST INDEX 35, V1 140, VR 150, V2 160, just entered them roughly.

Later, I set up windy and snowy weather at Hong Kong airport, But the turbulence was too much, and I lost control and dropped immediately.. I’ve never encountered such a thing in X-Plane, It seems that the aerodynamic model principles of Prepar3D are indeed different.

There was still some time left, so I flew another short route from Shenzhen to Kai Tak Airport.

Haven’t played on a big simulator for a long time, I felt completely lost on the landing part, After 1-2000 feet altitude, I was a bit afraid to descend further, When reaching the Runway end, the altitude was always too high, truly ashamed. I will practice more on my home machine when I have time in the future.
