X-Reloaded Plugin
X-Reloaded is a very simple Plugin with a straightforward function: it allows you to reload various Plugins while X-Plane is running, including Scenery, aircraft, and various other Plugins. Without this Plugin, we would need to restart X-Plane every time we install a new Plugin, and each startup requires waiting 2-3 minutes, which is truly a waste of time. With this Plugin, you can reload all Plugins, including any newly installed ones, without restarting X-Plane, significantly shortening the waiting time.

Add-on Management xaddonmanager
When using X-Plane 10, you will certainly make extensive use of Addons, such as aircraft, Scenery, airports, and so on. However, managing them can become troublesome once the number of Addons increases. For example, I might have several versions of the new Hong Kong airport; sometimes I want to use A, sometimes B, and switching between them is inconvenient. Today, I recommend a small utility for managing Addons called xaddonmanager, which allows you to easily select which Addon to use.

Most Popular Free Addons on x-plane.org in February 2014
The monthly “Most Popular Plugins” feature on x-plane.org took a brief hiatus, but today we’re bringing it back, starting with the February list.
Best Aircraft 1 ILYUSHIN-IL-96-400 by Ramzzess This IL-96 was originally a payware plugin with decent quality. It was later acquired by x-plane.org and released for free to users, so definitely show your support for this one.
2 Douglas DC-9-30 (unfinished) by roger2009 According to the author’s description, this is an unfinished product, but it was still selected as “Best of the Month.” It looks like the completion level is actually quite good.

Alpilotx.net Terrain Scenery Plugin
This blog has previously recommended the excellent New Zealand Pro Scenery, developed by the famous alpilotx.net. Recently, another product developed by alpilotx.net (author Andras Fabian), the HD Mesh Scenery V2 freeware Scenery, won the 2013 Freeware Addon of the Year Award by flusinews.de.

If you don’t mind the large file size, you might consider installing it to try it out. The download link is at http://download.isdg.com.au/downloads/xp10_hd_mesh_v2/, I only tested the installation of two files for Asia, xp10_hd_mesh_v2_+40+020-asia.zip and xp10_hd_mesh_v2_+60-170-asia.zip , and felt that they are indeed slightly more detailed than the default X-Plane Scenery, with better texture quality. It is worth installing.

X-Assign: Per-Aircraft Hardware Configuration Plugin
The default hardware configuration in X-Plane is singular. When you have multiple Joysticks or Control Panels, and need to change configurations based on flight conditions—for instance, when flying a helicopter, you must use a Collective to control pitch and roll with the joystick,
but when flying a Cessna, you need to reassign the same hardware to Prop Pitch and use a Yoke to control pitch and roll. This makes it very inconvenient as you have to reconfigure everything every time you switch aircraft.
Today, the X-Assign plugin I’m introducing can solve this problem perfectly because it allows you to set up to 3 hardware profiles for each aircraft.

x-plane.org Most Popular Free Add-ons for September
Here are the results for the most popular plugins of September. This month features both familiar faces and exciting newcomers. Let’s take a look at the results.
Taking the top spot for aircraft is our familiar Falcon 7X. We have introduced this before, and now it supports X-Plane V10.22. You should definitely upgrade.
The second-place aircraft is the Airbus A380-800! Oh, finally, a free version of this giant has appeared, and it even includes a 3D cockpit! Many friends like it, and I’m sure you won’t want to miss it.

Most Popular Free Addons of August on x-plane.org
The most popular plugins for August have been released, and the quality of this month’s selection is very high. They are highly recommended. (Sorry for the lack of posts about X-Plane last month; I was on a business trip for more than half of the month.)
Best Aircraft
1 Eurocopter EC-135 by hili The EC135 is a twin-engine civil helicopter manufactured by Eurocopter SA. It is widely used in law enforcement and emergency medical services (EMS), as well as for transport missions. The EC135 has become the best-selling light twin-engine helicopter over the past decade.

PAPI Brightness Adjustment Plugin
In the default installation of X-Plane 10, the PAPI lights are always quite dim, making it very difficult to see clearly when far from the airport. Therefore, I looked online and found a plugin that adjusts the lighting, which solved this problem. The plugin is called “Replacement Day and Night Lighting (lights.txt) for X-Plane”. The URL is here. <img src=http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?app=downloads&module=display§ion=screenshot&record=6316&id=435&full=1 width=680>
After logging into this website, you can download the compressed package. The file inside is very simple—it is just lights.txt. This plugin provides four types of lighting, located in four separate directories: 1 lights.txt-normal-distance-bloom 2 lights.txt-high-distance-bloom 3 lights.txt-4XSSAA-normal-distance-bloom 4 lights.txt-4XSSAA-high-distance-bloom You can choose any one of them according to your personal preference.

Free Supercritical Simulations B747-8 2.0
The Boeing 747-8 aircraft addon developed by SSG version 2.0 has been released. Key features include:
- Provides both Freighter and Passenger aircraft variants
- Optimized for X-Plane 10
- Consulted with real 744 and 748 pilots
- 748 panels and lighting effects based entirely on real-life production
- Custom FADEC logic and Thrust
- Nose cargo door can be opened
- Improved external lighting (supports HDR)
- Higher resolution used for 748i
- Detailed Pilot Reference Manual and tutorial flight
The most critical point is that this aircraft is free. I downloaded it to fly around and felt the workmanship was quite good, so I am recommending it here.

- Carenado ArcherII v2.1
- Carenado C152II v2.1
If you have purchased any of these products, don’t forget to download the update.
