X-Plane 12.4.0 Official Version Release

According to the X-Plane 12.4.0 Release Notes, the official version of X-Plane 12.4.0 has finally been released. I upgraded immediately to give it a test and didn’t find any issues, so everyone can use it with confidence.

Additionally, I remembered I have a 15-inch Lepow Portable Monitor Z1 that I haven’t used in a long time. I decided to use it as a secondary screen, so I set it up.

First is the Cessna 172. For example, setting it to the G1000 PFD. The screen display looks like this.

Next, I switched the aircraft to the A330. In this case, however, you just need to leave the monitor setting to “Unused”. This is because you can simply drag the windows you need, such as the CDU or Maps, onto that monitor. The effect is as follows: Having the CDU right at hand for configuration is great. Although it still requires mouse operation, it is much more comfortable than operating it on the main screen.

Come to think of it, I’ve been relying on the Autopilot too much recently; my manual handling skills are getting weaker…
