X-Plane 12.2.1 Release Notes
X-Plane 12.2.1 was released this week, so here is a brief translation of the release notes.
New Features
Airport Added custom airport: Zermatt Helipad (LSEZ) Updated versions of our “Gateway Airports” Added many library objects for airport designers: • Fire truck • Cherry Picker • Construction vehicles • Police SUV • Grass Runway markings • Compass Roses • Colored polygons • Hangars and tool sheds • Class F Jet Bridge • New Apron lighting • Movable helicopter platforms • Sloped roofs • Added weather effects to all flat roofs
General • Added setting to disable mouse wheel zoom for internal/external views independently (Path: Settings -> General -> Accessibility). Also added a modifier key assignment option so zoom only works while the key is held, preventing accidental zooming during daily mouse use. • Birds will no longer cause damage unless the “birdstrike” option is enabled in the Failures page.
Hardware Support
Thrustmaster • Full support for Thrustmaster’s new generation flight stick SOL-R 1, designed specifically for flight simulation.
MOZA • Full support for MOZA’s new line of flight sim hardware. This version supports: • AB9 FFB base with MH16 Flight Stick • MTP Throttle Quadrant • MTLP Panel
SimFlight Services • Support for SimFlight Services’ rotAIR module, providing high-fidelity input to enhance the simulation experience.
Fixes & Improvements
Air Traffic Control (ATC) • Added support for “Touch & Go”
General • “Continue Flight” feature now saves the player’s last airport on the ground, rather than the last airport flown over • Fixed multiple translation issues
Removed Features
We have removed the following unused or obsolete features: • Checklist • Text File feature
Technical Notes
Linux • Fixed an issue with X-Plane on Linux installed via Steam (when Steam was installed via snap). Note that Valve does not support the snap installation (XPD-16840).
