miniEFIS Unboxing and Setup
The miniEFIS arrived two months ago, but I’ve been too busy with work to find time to install it.
Finally, in February, I was able to unbox it.
Following the official website’s miniEFIS setup article, I connected the miniEFIS to the miniFCU. <img src=https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0834/0547/2063/files/faq-efis-setup-1.jpg?v=1728917854>

Next, I downloaded the latest firmware miniCOCKPIT-Firmware-Uploader-MAC-1.0.2-20241117.zip and ran it.
I could see various lights flashing.
After a while, I could see the display indicating the firmware upload was successful.

Then, I downloaded the X-Plane plugin miniCOCKPIT-DLS-X-Plane-MAC-v_2_1_7.zip and copied mac.xpl to Resources/plugins/minicockpit.
Finally, I launched the A330 in X-Plane 12.
I could see that the miniEFIS and miniFCU displays were working correctly.
I turned the knobs and found that they synchronized perfectly with the on-screen display.
It looks like the miniEFIS setup was successful.

I also checked the plugin settings menu, and it didn’t feel like there was anything that needed to be changed.

I took a quick flight. I won’t bother with X-Plane screenshots, but I am very satisfied with the operation and build quality of the miniEFIS.
Especially the ADF-VOR Select knob; the tactile feel of pulling it out, moving it left or right, and then pushing it back in is truly satisfying.
