A Relaxing Trip to Haneda: Photographing the Lufthansa Five-Star Livery, Part 2

Following the previous post, here are the photos mainly uploaded to Airliners.net (anet).

At noon at the International Terminal, I spotted a Gulfstream G550, VP-CFG Gulfstream Aerospace G-V-SP Gulfstream G550 (C-37B)

Last summer, an old classmate came to Tokyo with his family, and I went to Haneda Airport to pick them up. At that time, they were on this China Southern A330-200.

I also have a connection with the Shanghai Airlines A330-300, after all, I took it when I went to see the Shanghai Rolex Masters 2017.

Philippine Airlines A330-300; it seems the A330 is the main aircraft type on Haneda’s international routes around noon.

I uploaded this photo to Airliners.net with almost no post-processing. So, with a photo that has good lighting and air quality, you feel there’s nothing to do during post-processing. You can often see some photography masters say they never shoot in RAW; this is because they have mastered perfect lighting, so naturally, post-processing isn’t needed. Taking photos is essentially just the act of recording light and shadow, but being able to read the light is truly not easy. This is the gap between us amateurs and the photography experts.

In the afternoon, I ran over to Terminal 2. The livery color of Hokkaido’s Air Do has always been relatively difficult to shoot. I used to get rejected by Airliners.net quite a few times, but luckily, I succeeded this time.

JA8997, this 20-year-old ANA Airbus 320, I wonder how much longer it will remain in service? After all, the brand new A320neo and A321neo are entering service one after another. There is text commemorating the 2020 Tokyo Olympics on the upper fuselage. If translated into Chinese, it would probably be “United as one, welcoming the 2020 Olympics”.

I still remember every scene from watching the 2008 Beijing Olympics live; time really passes too fast. I started using the smartphone iPhone in 2008. How could I have imagined back then that in just a few years, China’s mobile phone industry would undergo such amazing development, A large number of services represented by Alipay and WeChat have reached the forefront of the world. I am extremely impressed.

At the Terminal 2 observation deck, what you see most are actually these standard liveried ANA aircraft. More and more aircraft have Wi-Fi antennas installed on the upper fuselage. Recently, both ANA and JAL have been heavily promoting in-flight free Wi-Fi ads in the media. Although I haven’t used it yet, next time I must find a time to test it out.

Updated on 2018/1/11 Regarding the aircraft operating Haneda international flights, I investigated again the fact that A330s are numerous on Asian routes at noon. I found the following airlines and am posting them here as well. EVA Air A330-300

Air China A330-300
