According to the X-Plane 11.05 Release Notes, this version primarily adds a massive amount of airport Scenery,

Total airports with 3-D scenery in the 11.05r1 release: 4817 New airports with 3-D scenery since the 11.00 release: 914 Airports with new user-submitted scenery in the 11.05r1 release (102 total):

3D airports have increased to nearly 5000!! That's really impressive.

Additionally, regarding the previous version 11.02, the official website mentioned significant performance improvements. Three Performance Optimizations for X-Plane 11.02 For example, for the slow GPU operation issue with NVidia graphics card drivers, the rendering of water and waves was changed to 8-bit processing to achieve ideal results. For ground vehicles, namely moving cars, the algorithm “rebucketing” was applied, reducing CPU usage. In terms of task scheduling, the multi-core algorithm was improved, increasing the display frame rate.
