Trip Report: All Nippon Airways Flight NH245
It has been 10 years since my last business trip to Fukuoka. So, even though there weren’t many highlights, I’ll summarize the flight log for this flight, NH245.
Flight NH245 Tokyo Haneda Airport - Fukuoka Airport
METAR: RJTT 242339Z 18017G28KT 8000 FEW015 BKN/// 22/19 Q1014 RMK 1CU015 A2995 South wind, wind wasn’t too small, visibility not good, cloudy/overcast, weather very unsuitable for taking photos. Deeply regret why I booked a right-side window…
Gate 59
Registration JA8324, Boeing 767-300 type, an airframe that entered service in November 1992, making it relatively old.
9:00 Door close
9:03 Push back
9:05 Engine start
9:07 Taxi start, E7 C7 C9 C10
9:13 RWY 16L Takeoff
Looking at Haneda Tower
H Runway and G Runway
JAL and ANA maintenance hangars
Fuel tanks, RWY34L in the distance, and the Tama River
Directly above RWY05
9:14 Looking back at RWY05
Sekid Two Departure
16L, T6L23, WELDA, PLUTO, KAIJI, HILLS, SEKID
The aircraft circles left over Tokyo Bay. The right seat doesn’t see much; if I were on the left, I could have captured a panoramic view of Haneda Airport…
9:17 Near KAIJI, about to enter clouds, couldn’t see the ground after this
Couldn’t see anything but clouds all the way. Even at cruise altitude, spent a fair bit of time flying in clouds.
The cabin was very clean, equipment very well maintained, didn’t feel like an old airframe at all
This small protrusion on the wing is probably used to tie a lifeline when ditching at sea.
9:55 PA announcement “Cruise altitude 34000ft 10300M, RJFF cloud 21 degrees, 10:15 descend start”
10:15 Descent
10:25 PA announces start of arrival approach. For the route of this section, see the article Waypoints Named After Beer.
Posting a few photos taken after passing the FUKUOKA DGC VOR, the scenery was actually quite nice
The approach chart is as follows, RWY16 straight-in
10:40 Touch down
Runway end
Safe landing
10:45 Gate 7
Starting to enter Gate 7, the FUKUOKA Terminal 1 sign is visible.
Maybe this is a boring account of the trip, sorry about that.
