I have previously introduced the first passenger flight of the ANA Star Wars livery 787-9 and watched the R2-D2 special livery take off again. Actually, there are a total of 3 Star Wars livery aircraft. The 2nd aircraft, JA604A Boeing 767-300 – “STAR WARS ANA JET”, has been in operation since last November, but I just hadn’t specifically gone out to find and photograph it until this day, when I accidentally captured it at Haneda Airport.

You can see the BB-8 livery on the right side of the fuselage, This is the new droid that appeared in “Star Wars 7” at the end of last December, and the main color is yellow. The “STAR WARS” text on the nose is quite striking, while ANA’s own Logo is very small. However, from the side, the wing blocks the rear BB-8 pattern, I had to take another photo from the rear side to see its full view. You can see that compared to the luxury of the 1st aircraft, the design of the Star Wars livery 2nd aircraft is much simpler.

The design on the left side of the fuselage is different from the right side, featuring the R2-D2 droid, with the main color changed to the blue of ANA’s company Logo. The aircraft took off from Haneda Runway 34R. It didn’t seem to have many passengers, and the takeoff roll was short, lifting off lightly right in front of the Terminal 2 observation deck. I am very satisfied with this shooting angle!

Since the Star Wars livery 2nd aircraft “STAR WARS ANA JET” is only used for domestic flights, friends living outside of Japan can only see it when they come to Japan for business or private travel. However, the 3rd aircraft, the 777-300 “BB-8 ANA JET”, will be launched on the 27th of this month. It is mainly used for flights to North America, so friends living in the US and Canada might have a better chance of seeing it.

Additionally, the 1st aircraft is mainly used for Asian routes. I feel like I see it every time I come to Haneda; it has become an old friend.
