China Civil Aviation's New NOTAM International Series Classification
Current NOTAMs are categorized into three series: A, E, and F. Starting from 08:00 on August 29, 2015, five new series—G, L, U, W, and Y—will be added, effectively subdividing the airspace into more detailed segments. Specific details are provided in the new AIP PART 1 GEN 3.1, transcribed as follows:
Series A: Contents include regulations, standards, services, and procedures; Airways/Airways; Airspace, navigation aids, and aviation warnings related exclusively to en-route flight; And other aeronautical information not included in Series E, F, G, L, U, W, and Y NOTAMs.
Series E: Contents include relevant aeronautical information for international or open-to-foreign airports within the Beijing Flight Information Region.
Series F: Contents include relevant aeronautical information for international or open-to-foreign airports within the Shanghai Flight Information Region.
Series G: Contents include relevant aeronautical information for international or open-to-foreign airports within the Guangzhou, Wuhan, and Sanya Flight Information Regions.
Series L: Contents include relevant aeronautical information for international or open-to-foreign airports within the Lanzhou Flight Information Region.
Series U: Contents include relevant aeronautical information for international or open-to-foreign airports within the Kunming Flight Information Region.
Series W: Contents include relevant aeronautical information for international or open-to-foreign airports within the Urumqi Flight Information Region.
Series Y: Contents include relevant aeronautical information for international or open-to-foreign airports within the Shenyang Flight Information Region.
Series S: NOTAMs regarding airport snow conditions, etc., numbered consecutively, starting from number 0001 each winter.
After 2015/08/29 Series A - Contains information concerning: a) Regulations, standards, services and procedures; b) ATS routes; c) Airspace, navigation aids and navigation warnings, which affect en-route flights exclusively; d) Other information not covered by Series E, F, G, L, U, W and Y.
Series E - Contains information concerning aerodromes within Beijing FIR/ZBPE. Series F - Contains information concerning aerodromes within Shanghai FIR/ZSHA. Series G - Contains information concerning aerodromes within Guangzhou FIR/ZGZU, Wuhan FIR/ZHWH and Sanya FIR/ZJSA. Series L - Contains information concerning aerodromes within Lanzhou FIR/ZLHW. Series U - Contains information concerning aerodromes within Kunming FIR/ZPKM. Series W - Contains information concerning aerodromes within Urumqi FIR/ZWUQ. Series Y - Contains information concerning aerodromes within Shenyang FIR/ZYSH. Series S - stands for SNOWTAM and is numbered consecutively, with a new serial number 0001 being assigned for each winter.

Series F contains information of aerodromes located in Guangzhou FIR/ZGZU, Wuhan FIR/ZHWH, Sanya FIR/ZJSA and Shanghai FIR/ZSHA.
