Photo of the Week (Weekly Photos 2014/8/19)

1 Photos on Weibo – Viewing the Milky Way on a Late Night Flight. Lens 14-24, aperture f/2.8, ISO 12800, handheld 4-second shutter. The mysterious universe is truly beautiful.

2 Cathay Pacific’s 747s are about to be gradually phased out; they will operate their last San Francisco to Hong Kong flight in the middle of this month. You can check out this article The death of the original jumbo jet, Boeing’s 747-400 to learn about the fate of the 747 after retirement.

3 A group photo of two big fatties – the A380 and the Dream Lifter at Nagoya Chubu Centrair International Airport.

This site previously provided a detailed introduction to the Dream Lifter in Nagoya Chubu Centrair International Airport Shooting Notes.

4 An F-14 in the sunset. I have always believed that the F-14 Tomcat has the most beautiful appearance of all fighters. Although it has been retired for a long time, I always feel very fond of it whenever I see its photos. When I visited Kamakura for the first time more than a decade ago, I heard the roar of a fighter jet in the sky, looked up, and immediately recognized the majestic figure of the Tomcat. That was the first time I saw a real F-14.

5 Xiamen Air’s first 787. I had a connection with this airline 20 years ago, but unfortunately, I gave it up myself, and it became a lifelong regret.

6 China Airlines’ first 777. I didn’t know before that China Airlines didn’t have any 777s yet. I look forward to seeing it in Tokyo.
