Most Popular Free Addons of August on x-plane.org
The most popular plugins for August have been released, and the quality of this month’s selection is very high. They are highly recommended. (Sorry for the lack of posts about X-Plane last month; I was on a business trip for more than half of the month.)

1 Eurocopter EC-135 by hili The EC135 is a twin-engine civil helicopter manufactured by Eurocopter SA. It is widely used in law enforcement and emergency medical services (EMS), as well as for transport missions. The EC135 has become the best-selling light twin-engine helicopter over the past decade.
This plugin is unique in that you need to download an installer from the developer's website. Run the program to download and install the aircraft (it takes about 10 minutes). Other plugins typically come in a compressed archive that you copy directly into the X-Plane directory.2 Fiat G-91Y by depas57 The Fiat G-91Y “Yankee” attack aircraft was developed from the G-91R single-engine light attack aircraft. Its wing area was increased by 10% compared to the G-91R, and it is equipped with two engines, improving the thrust-to-weight ratio. This significantly enhanced the aircraft’s performance and payload capacity. Although the aircraft was not expensive, it featured an advanced navigation system and a high cruising speed, capable of exceeding Mach 1 during a dive. The aircraft uses a conventional flight control system, with automatic wing leading-edge slats improving maneuverability. The prototype first flew in 1966, and by 1971, the aircraft had entered service.
3 Sud Aviation Caravelle SE210 by Heinz Dziurowitz The SE-210 Caravelle is a twin-engine short-to-medium-range jet airliner developed by Sud Aviation (later merged into Aérospatiale). The SE-210 Caravelle was the first jet airliner in history to feature a rear-mounted engine layout, with the two engines installed in nacelles on either side of the rear fuselage. This rear-engine layout keeps the wing design clean; compared to wing-mounted engines, the airflow over the wing is undisturbed. This allows for a shorter landing gear, making boarding easier for passengers. However, note that the center of gravity shifts significantly between empty and fully loaded states in large and medium-sized aircraft. Due to the engine placement at the rear, the horizontal tail cannot be mounted on the fuselage, necessitating a T-tail layout. At high angles of attack, the airflow from the wings can blanket the T-tail. This affects safety during critical flight conditions (e.g., near the Stall angle of attack).
