Haneda-Hong Kong Route File RJTT_VHHH.fms
Based on the route information found in Cathay Pacific Flight CX543 Trip Report: Haneda to Hong Kong, I created a flight management file, RJTT_VHHH.fms. Since many of the waypoints are not defined in X-Plane, I looked up the latitude and longitude for each one using the Jeppesen charts iPad App and edited them into the file. The result looks like this:

Copy this file to the X-Plane 10/Output/FMS plans directory, and then take it for a test flight.
The flight procedure basically follows X-Plane 10 747-400 Takeoff & Landing, ATC, IFR Practice - A Complete Tutorial.
When filing the flight plan, I used the following information:
![]()
The range is very long, taking 4 hours, but I feel the flight route is basically about the same as the CX543 flight at the time. The flight simulation experience was good, but long-haul flights are both monotonous and fatiguing. It looks like I’m just suited to leisurely flying small general aviation propeller planes.
