The Boeing 747-8 aircraft addon developed by SSG version 2.0 has been released. Key features include:

• Provides both Freighter and Passenger aircraft variants
• Optimized for X-Plane 10
• Consulted with real 744 and 748 pilots
• 748 panels and lighting effects based entirely on real-life production
• Custom FADEC logic and Thrust
• Nose cargo door can be opened
• Improved external lighting (supports HDR)
• Higher resolution used for 748i
• Detailed Pilot Reference Manual and tutorial flight

The most critical point is that this aircraft is free. I downloaded it to fly around and felt the workmanship was quite good, so I am recommending it here.

However, it is a pity that there is only a 2D cockpit for now; I estimate that the 3D cockpit will be paid DLC.

Of course, the 2D cockpit has no impact on operation. I performed manual Takeoff and Landing, used the MCP autopilot to fly a loop around Guam, everything was normal, and frequently used functions are available.

The 747-8 is worthy of being the latest model in the 747 family: sawtooth nacelle engines, raked wingtips, and the brand-new airframe makes one unable to put it down.

The installation method is very simple. The download address is here. The file is over 100MB. After decompressing, just copy SSG B747-8F Freighter 2.0 and SSG B747-8i Intercontinental 2.0 to the /Aircraft/Heavy Metal/ directory.
