I recently got a bit interested in the E6B flight computer. I started learning how to use it. I downloaded a Chinese user manual from the internet and realized that this is indeed a great tool, worth some serious research. e6b manual.pdf

I then started browsing various products online and found that the better ones are quite expensive. Since I am still a beginner, there is no need to invest in anything high-end. So I decided to do it myself and rely on my own efforts, and within a few minutes, I had a simple version ready. Here is a summary.

First, from this website download a PDF file, use scissors to cut out the two circles, and fasten them together in the middle with a staple. A usable E6B is done!

Then, following the manual, I learned multiplication and division, speed unit conversions, mile/nautical mile/kilometer conversions, and gallon/pound conversions. I discovered that this flight computer, which basically costs zero, is actually very powerful. I am very satisfied. Additionally, the E6B is indeed very capable; there is still a lot to learn, so I will continue to study and master it slowly in the future.
