Opening and Closing the Cabin Door & Flying Over Tahiti

It’s been a while since my last update. I was on a business trip last week, and then went to Kyoto and Osaka to admire the cherry blossoms on the weekend, so I had fewer chances to practice on X-Plane. It’s been raining outside all day today, not suitable for going out, so I’ll just practice properly at home.

I started flying in Hawaii, when I suddenly discovered by chance that the cabin doors of the Cessna 172 can be opened! Just press Alt+E. To close the door, use Alt+R. Cessna_172SP_17.png

I also found that you can open the door mid-flight without affecting the flight; this must be a bug. Cessna_172SP_19.png

Bored of flying in Hawaii, I decided to visit another tropical island, so I came to the long-awaited Tahiti to fly around the island.

Why Tahiti? Just look at the Baidu Baike introduction: Tahiti, also translated as Tahiti, also known as French Polynesia, is the largest island in the Windward Islands of the Society Islands of French Polynesia in the central South Pacific. It is warm as spring all year round and rich in products. People who are free from food and clothing often stare at the distance of the sea and wait for the sunset and dawn. The sunlight arrives with the wind blowing from the Pacific Ocean, and the color of the sea water changes from deep to clear. They call themselves “God’s people,” and people call there “the closest place to heaven.”

Taking a photo with the volcano as the background, although there is some thin mist, it doesn’t hinder the view: Cessna_172SP_20.png

Opening the cabin door mid-flight to get some fresh air, haha Cessna_172SP_21.png

Finally safely returned to Faa’a International Airport (NTAA), the landing was pretty good, right? Cessna_172SP_24.png

Alright, extremely satisfied with this sightseeing flight, off to eat!
